My parents told me that this summer I could choose where we as a family would go on vacation, so I chose everywhere! We traveled way out west and this was our first stop Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado.
It is so strange to look out and see sand dunes in the valley of a large mountain range.
Note to self: don't play on miles of sand dunes barefoot. My feet were so badly sunburned that they were too sore to walk on for several days.
This was our first of many stops.
