My life. I've had a lot of school work to do, I'm trying to hurry and finish by May. That explains why I haven't posted this week. This will be the last blog post for a few weeks. I will however leave you with my progress on my positive "adventure" and a few ramblings.

I started thinking. Yeah, I don't do that a lot. Before I say things I (most of the time) think. It really has helped me. I still have to be held accountable, but it's okay I'm happy with my progress. I really have been less stressed because of my new positive thinking. It takes much less energy to think and say positive things than negative.

I've been trying to perfect making an omelet. The first morning...let's just say I had really awesome scrambled eggs. (positive thinking!) The second day...it was better! It tasted better, looked better, and smelled better! Making progress on something always makes me happy!

I am finished with Bible class for the year! I made an A 98% on my final!




Grace

I'm a negative person. I've been like that ever since I can remember. It just isn't natural for me to look on the "sunnyside" of things. Being so negative really has taken a toll on my life. I was ready for a change. So at the beginning of this past week I asked almost everyone that is around the most of the week to tell me if I'm being negative. The result...

It's been okay. Wait that was negative wasn't it? *facepalm* It has been different. It is going to take a while to get use to. Most of the time I make conversation by complaining, or talking about something bad that happened to me. Come to think of it that is probably why I talk so much! Now that I've "turned over a new leaf" (who came up with that term anyway) whenever I am going to tell about something that I did I gather all the good things that happened and throw out all the bad things. It's probably a stupid way to look at things, but that's how my brain works.

When my brain says "I'll complain about this!" I say "Let us rethink that.". I just put the complaint into perspective. For example, if I am going to complain that it's hot, I just remember when the sun didn't shine for a week at the beginning of this year.

My "adventure" is much easier since I asked people to hold me accountable. And yes, it was hard to say "My name is Grace, and I have a problem", but what are friends and family for right?

I realized that I never posted an "introductory" post when I started this blog. Since I have a few new followers I figured now is just as good a time as any. So here it goes...

I work at a christian retreat center (also known as camp, Judson, and/or JBRC) as a wrangler.
I sing really loudly and sometimes try to sing like Josh Turner. Yeah, that never goes very well.
I have been friends with my best friend for 11 years. She is almost as awesome as I am.
I'm in the process of starting my own business.
I work part-time for a professional photographer as a graphic designer. The photographer just so happens to be my very good friend.
I eat, sleep, and breathe music. No, I don't have a problem.
The friends I made while working at camp are some of my best friends, even though we don't see each other too often.
I love horses, even though I don't own one.
I love being outside around a bonfire. I love s'mores too!
I'm learning to play the guitar. Yeah, that's not going so well.
I'm the eldest of 4 children. I don't care what you say, my siblings are better than yours!
I would much rather wear jeans, boots, and a old t-shirt than a dress any day.
I need a camera upgrade. Badly.
"Dance Moms" is my guilty pleasure.
I'm terrible at drawing, and painting.
I dance when no one is watching. I'm very bad at it.

I eat raw cookie-dough. No shame.

When I watch TV (which is seldom) I would rather watch black-n-white oldies than new shows.
